Write A Review For American Institute of BalanceI was extremely disappointed in the concussion portion of this content. I was most excited about that content, and it really seemed like either an afterthought or a sales pitch for the next course.
I appreciated Steven’s teaching style but for the most part felt the the individual feedback from instructors wasn’t helpful.
Great course with good instructors who presented the material very well.
Great information and use of time for the in-person continuing education.
I really appreciated the hybrid format of this course and not having to sit in-person for the intro content/information. The course instructors were very knowledgeable, efficient, and passionate about the content they were presenting. Just as they predicted, I had a BPPV patient in the ED Monday morning after the course and felt confident evaluating and treating them. I highly recommend this course!
I feel I gained a lot of great knowledge on how to assess and manage vestibular conditions. I feel confident being able to evaluate and treat these patients. However, I am disappointed with the information provided on concussion. I do not feel it was very comprehensive. Better evaluation and treatment considerations could have been covered, especially during the in person session.
The Vestibular portion of the course was great and they did a good job of reviewing some of the online coursework and then practicing the hands on skills. I think they spent a little too much time on BPPV though, it was great to practice all the tests but I think it was a little too much time spent on just BPPV.
The biggest disappointment was the Concussion portion of the in person lecture. It really seemed like an afterthought, they just skipped through some of the material. The material online was fairly thorough but in person it felt like it was all quickly summarized and rushed, it wouldn’t give me any confidence to treat a concussion patient come Monday morning. This was the portion of the course I really came for and wish they spent more time on both the assessment and treatment options for concussion patients. In reality they should have spit the Concussion portion into a separate more detailed course!
This course was wonderful! Greatly taught information.
Great class! Great education! Great instructors!
As a new grad PT, this course was extremely helpful in my evaluation and treatment of unilateral/bilateral vestibular hypofunction and BPPV. All of the instructors were great at answering questions and demonstrating techniques.
Great course! Great info! This will change how I practice!
