If there is a heaven I hope it is in the village of Triantaros on the island of Tinos off the coast of Greece in the Artist House. Every inch of this 16th century villa has been lovingly renovated: from the gorgeous wooden beams above to the white-washed curve of a wall to the carefully chosen original art that graces every room. A large terrace looks out over the entire island of Tinos with the turquoise Aegean Sea as its backdrop. The hosts go out of their way to make you comfortable – a huge bowl of fresh oranges await me when I arrive – offering sight-seeing suggestions, and helping to plan the sometimes complicated logistics of side trips to other islands. Every room is inviting; I especially loved the little reading nook built into a corner with a bed, stained glass, and huge pillows…Everything is top quality and natural materials (no plastic in sight!), maintaining the spirit of the original house while providing all the modern conveniences, including an espresso maker. Wonderful books in the bookcase invite. Stay as long as you can, the Artist House will restore your weary body and soul! Cannot recommend this getaway enough!
The Artist House is unlike the usual holiday accommodation, it is an immersive experience to a property offering style, creativity with exquisite attention to detail throughout the house. With no hesitation we would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful property in Tinos, coupled with Maximilian’s passion for the restoration and his pride in the work undergone over a period of time, The Artist House is truly a 5 star rating!
The Artist House is one of the most extraordinary vacation homes I have stayed in. The view is a real dream, at the same time you are in the middle of a village and experience Greek culture and the infinite beauty of this village from the Middle Ages. The house is equipped to the finest standard. The kitchen has spices from all over the world and all conceivable amenities for cooking. The house is very spacious- I went with my family and we all had more than enough space. Also because the terraces are large and very cozy. The rooms cozy and very thoughtful designed. It is freshly renovated and combines the interesting cycladic architectural history with modernity- inspiring! The artist house has a little studio or office where they also provided some material to make your own art. We could even book oil paint, an easel, watercolor and had a lot of fun painting. The piano is wonderful in the evening if you have someone with you who can play 😉 a holiday home of culture. The hosts are so friendly! Could wright so I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday, we will definitely come back.
