This is my second claim. I am sure glad that I chose this company. Cheaper than buying extended warranty from the dealership. I bought this for peace of mind and I am glad that I did. Obvi paid the claim quickly. Was basically hassle free. Check them out if you are looking to extend your vehicle warranty.

The team at Obvi have been incredible with assisting me for repair related matters. I had a not so pleasant experience with a dealership who did not seem to know what they were doing (lies and misinformation that were quickly shot down because Joe kept me in the loop of his communications with the dealership that could have left me without my vehicles for days). The team at Obvi kept me informed of my claim status, responded to calls or emails same day and processed approval for repairs faster and easier than I have witnessed with past providers. Joe was knowledgeable and prompt. This is my first time choosing Obvi as a provider for an extended policy. From what I could see, Obvi is Calgary based and we love to support local. I will be back for more coverage on future vehicles if this is how these folks operate.

First of all ….the claims that were approved were done efficiently and my garage have no issues with it. There should not be any questions to the legitimacy of this company.
My issues are how they qualify some of the components that were mentioned on the lists of items covered. They have denied my claim for ball joints because they said that’s within limits of its life span …they start to go at 70,000 kms. First of all …I have been driving for 42 yrs…never had a ball joint failed until at least 150,000 kms. Second …I agree brake pads and tires have a limited life span but things like shocks and struts , bearings , ball joint are less tangible….they can last up to 200,000 kms or 70,000 if the are defective ….so if you are selling premium warranties…for cars less than 10 yrs old and less than 150,000 kms ….and you mentioned these parts….you should honour it or remove it from the list or at least cap it at a predetermined km rating. It might have swayed me from purchasing. In reality ….they can pretty much deny any claim because it’s old. I wished it was more clear ….if it were not for this…I would give it five stars. Joe was pleasant to talk with ….and I would recommend but with a big caveat.

The process from my end was great, I received a call from Obvi to advise the claim was approved, and the dealer proceeded. When I picked our vehicle up the dealer was impressed how quickly they got approval and even payment had already been made.

five stars just got the warrenty nice people to talk to have’nt used the warrenty yet

The representative was courteous and helpful, making the sign up process clear and easy. Policy information and payment confirmation was provided promptly. Have not had a need to submit a claim at this point. There are several vendors out there, we decided to go this route. Time will tell if it was the right decision!
