My daughter has been in Discern to Learn classes for two years now, I am very pleased with her growth in her writing. I feel it has been very helpful in her confidence in her writing ability as well as confidence in her ability to do things she doesn’t believe she can do. She has learned more about scheduling her work to be able to accomplish all that she needs accomplish as well.

Our son is participating in a Discern to learn program. We find the teaching relevant, effective and motivational. I am a certified teacher and believe the methods and assignments are helping the students to become more and more the people they are designed to be.

I registered my child in the free mini writing program that Mrs. Peters launched in October 2023. After the 1st session, despite my child feeling awkward and unsure, he was inspired to learn more. The weekly assignments were challenging, but it gave an opportunity for my child to think harder. During classes, Mrs Peters was able to identify the hurdles and explain articulately the steps to improve on and accomplish each task. I personally like it when she injects the importance of self discipline. After the 4-week program, I noticed that my child has become more interested in writing. It needs a follow-through for sure, but I must say that the program gave my child the jumpstart to write analytically and coherently. I definitely highly recommend this program.

She pushes us which is great sometimes we need so we book a call but that’s ok we learn how to make a firm paragraph and how to edit

Theresa is an excellent teacher. Two of my children have take her classes so far and loved them! They have grown tremendously in their comprehension of writing skills as well as their confidence in putting words on paper. There is no doubt, we will definitely take more of her classes!

Mrs. Peters is a great teacher, she loves what she does and is good at doing it. I think that I as one of her latest students in her zoom class have gotten much better at writing in essay forms and it is all because of her.
