My daughter had a wonderful experience in Theresa’s Jump In class. Ms. Theresa went over and above in ensuring that she had support in any areas where there were struggles, and my daughter grew so much in confidence and skill over the course of the year. The lessons on mindset, diligence, and working through hard things were just as valuable as the quality writing instruction. Highly recommend!

Ms. Theresa is always trying her best to support her students in the ways that we need her to. She is always encouraging us, and looking for ways to help us. I have done multiple classes with her, and I have never had a teacher that is so all in for her students, and puts in so much effort to make her classes the best experience for us. She pushes her students further than we thought we could go, and is encouraging along the way. She always has he best interest in her students. I love how she breaks down everything that we are writing so it is easy to learn and less overwhelming. Not only is she encouraging us in our writing but she also encourages us in our own goals in life. I would definitely recommend signing up for one of her classes if you want to get a lot better at writing, and get a confidence boost.

My girls were in the Essay writing program. They learned new skills and it was great to see them discovering that can write an essay once it was broken down into a more digestible way. But from my eyes the best part is Theresa’s attention to each of my girls and knowing where each girl was at and encouraging them to go farther. Her mentorship is amazing. My girls grew in confidence in their writing skills and actually enjoyed preparing for their essays. Theresa’s programs gives more than what you expect. Yes, they will learn new skills and may even enjoy it 😀. But more importantly, they come out of the class more confident in themselves which is priceless. Thank you Theresa for being such a great mentor to my girls. They still talk about your class and they still use some of the tools you have given them. We thank God for you!

Almost every class that I had previously taken was not very helpful. Yes, I learned from those classes, but the teachers were not very hands-on, unlike Mrs. Peters which is something I LOVE about Discern to Learn. It helped me with my writing and made me feel that my future and my well-being were in good hands, there are calls so she can see how you are doing which I can say makes me feel like she cares. Mrs. Peters is understanding, patient, a good teacher, and an all-around good person. With Discern to Learn you really can’t go wrong.

I was a student in Mrs. Theresa’s World Reframed language arts course this year, and I learned a lot. Mrs. Theresa gets you thinking in critical ways and asks thought-provoking questions to help you prove your point. She offers help when needed, makes the classes engaging, and pushes you outside your comfort zone. I enjoyed having her as my teacher.

Mrs Theresa has been a valuable resource for our homeschool for 3 years now. Her patient, competent manner is just what my reluctant and insecure writers needed! My oldest son (grade 8) has gone from needing help every step of the way to being a fully independent writer. My youngest son (grade 6) has developed a solid foundation for writing paragraphs that I know will only be built on in the coming semesters with Mrs Theresa. I plan to integrate Mrs Theresa’s courses into our homeschool program until graduation!

My son so enjoyed Mrs. Theresa’s class! He grew in his writing skills, in making goals, and in being accountable. It wasn’t just about the writing, it was about developing responsibility, independence, and character. I especially liked the fact that as a homeschool mom I got to be “hands off” for the duration of the class. We saw our son’s confidence increase under Mrs. Theresa’s teaching and encouragement.

Miss Theresa’s classes are a great learning experience for my children. My oldest daughter was an avid writer before she took the discern to learn class, but she was amazed at how much more she learned and gained through her teachers’ insight and corrective criticism. She graduated last year with excellent writing skills thanks to Mrs. Peters. My second daughter is now taking the discern to learn class, and is learning many good writing skills. We love Miss Theresa’s classes!

My daughter has been in Discern to Learn classes for two years now, I am very pleased with her growth in her writing. I feel it has been very helpful in her confidence in her writing ability as well as confidence in her ability to do things she doesn’t believe she can do. She has learned more about scheduling her work to be able to accomplish all that she needs accomplish as well.
